A Little Bit About Me...

As a Regent's Scholar at UC Davis, I sought to develop skills in both the sciences and the liberal arts. As such, I earned two bachelors degrees, a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering, and a BA in Japanese. I have an extensive background in math and science, particularly in physics and chemistry, due to the former. I also have a plethora of experience in writing persuasive essays, technical papers, and research papers. My two years of tutoring experience ranges from basic mathematics for elementary school students to advanced engineering principles for college students.

I have always loved to teach children because it excites me to see them really grasp a concept, and overcome a hurdle they thought was beyond their reach. Each child has so much potential-far greater than any of us give them credit for when we first meet them! Working as a High School English teacher for seven years, in Alternative Education, has greatly honed my skills in assisting students to excel.
