I graduated in December 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My specializations are in elementary education (prek-6th grade) and all-level special education. I worked in Hale Center ISD for the after school enrichment program at Akin Elementary from August 2012 until the program ended in June 2013. I completed one rotation of student teaching in special education at Hillcrest Elementary and one rotation of student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom at Thunderbird Elementary. Understanding the subject is understanding the student

I myself have add and dyslexia, so I know both ways to teach to kids with mental disabilities and ways to reach without. My teaching style varies from student to student based on how I see they respond.I like to meet with the student before we start scheduling lessons to understand who they are as a person and a student. I am dedicated to creating a curriculum personalized to them.
