A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on. When I was in nursing school, patient teaching was a strong point of mine. I love children. I am patient, kind and believe in utilizing intrinsic and extrinsic forms of lessons so that children develop a love of learning and see the short term rewards and long term rewards.My goal is to help a student succeed.
I am currently heading for a BS in Elementary Education while I am home schooling my children. I have home school grades 6-11. I have accomplished raising reading levels within 6 months past 2 grades past level. I have tutored and home schooled children outside my own and have been asked to assist children with reading. My shelves are currently equipped with grade K-10 curriculum and I am ready to provide part time and full time education on several subjects or one

I love helping children achieve their educational goals. I am a firm believer in giving back to our communities through helping children that are struggling academically. My style of teaching in through facilitating and allowing the pupil to engage the thought process. I have an analytical style personality.
