My teaching style is flexible. Students learn in different ways and at different paces. It is my job to discover how the students learn and what they respond best to. For some subjects, repetition is very important and for others a clearer understanding of the concepts involved is more valuable. I like to start with small skills and build on them.

A Little Bit About Me...

Graduating from Fort Valley State University with two degrees in education gave me a sense of direction. I have a sincere desire to help improve the future of our nation's children. I began volunteering in a literacy program that sought to help children and adult improve their reading comprehension skills. The volunteers read to the children or allow the children to read to them, review stories with them, and ask them questions pertaining to the stories. I found this experience to be very rewarding when I would progress among children that I helped. Their expression of accomplishment and pride gave me a feeling of fulfillment.
