Chef, Reader, Creative Writer, and Resume Writer

I am a culinary school graduate and a full-time chef. As part of my chef-ly duties, I regularly find myself teaching cooking techniques and helping people become more comfortable in the kitchen. When it comes to writing, that I do more for my own amusement, but I have always considered myself more of a writer than anything else. I have experience and enjoy training youth in resume writing and goal setting.

Give Real life experience a try

Experience throughout school, work and personal experience dealing with the mentally challenged and dyslexia. my best friend had a son who was dyslexic and also he had ADD and I got him to trust me in babysitting and I taught him various things. I taught him how to read and write he could not accomplish that on his own. He was 11 at the time and I think with kids you have to be creative to teach them and I am very creative. I also have an aunt who is mentally handicapped, and I love spending time with her she is a very giving person. They teach me and it is always a joy to work with them and give something back.
Hands on approaches mixed with worldly knowledge, and a very patient style.

A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2011. I am a graduate in Communications can help in English, Writing, Editing but also took AP Calculus and AP Statistics and passed both tests. I love math but feel that communicating through writing is very important. During the last two years I have worked at an Elementary School as Para Professional tutoring children in Math and Reading both in small groups and one-on-one. I love helping children learn!
Building a good relationship with a child is key to helping them learn. When good relationships are developed children can then trust the teacher or tutor to help them in whatever way possible. This relationship builds a good emotional bank account and children will do hard things when asked. I know that all children can learn. I have seen it while working with the wonderful children at the school I worked at.

I am able to help students build their papers from the bottom up and go through completed papers and give assistance. I feel that I am able to teach and explain the elements that are required in a paper so that students may write better papers in the future. I greatly enjoy the one-on-one experience.
As a former English major and editing minor at Brigham Young University I helped many students write and edit research and English papers. Along the way I also had the opportunity to edit an engineering Master's thesis. I have tutored in paper writing in various subjects as well as specifically tutoring in creative writing. The next year I subbed for the public schools in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
