I use music, movies, food, conversation, and readings as a teaching approach to maximize learning. I am Italian born and raised and moved to the USA 5 years ago to work on my M.A. I have taught English in my home country and I enjoy teaching Italian language and Italian Cusine. As a bilingual Spanish and English speaker since birth I have always had an interest and inclination to the learning and teaching of languages. This past year I substituted for the foreign language teachers at New Canaan High School in Connecticut. Education has always been one of my greatest facinations. I achieved a BA in English grammars, a MLA in creative writing, and fifteen credits towards a PhD in literature and literary criticism. I discovered the writing center at my undergraduate university and became a tutor immediately. I found that I was in a position to learn just as much at the students I tutored. Over the past twelve years, I have continued that facination with learning in voluntary tutoring sessions. I believe in the program of teaching across the curriculum.
