The key to being a good teacher is being patient. I believe children learn best in a positive and stress-free environment. When a child does good on the work then I praise them and if they make a mistake then I explain to them the error in the homework. When I was a small child, I remember my teacher being patient and helping me along the way. My style of teaching is one that strives to bring an overall understanding of the importance and relevance of the subject at hand. I believe children, as well as all people, learn much better and have much greater retention when they understand the bigger picture involved and understand why it is important to learn the subject at hand.
