I enjoy very much teaching anyone that is eager to learn. I am able to seek information an all resources necessary to provide your child with the best education possible. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn, in many different ways, depending on each individual skill. I also believe that education is the most important tool that anyone can have in their life and that educators are the main resource for making the difference in a child's or an adult's life and education.
During my 13 years of working experience at the Employment Office in Lowell, Massachusetts in conjunction with a year of working experience at CTI YouthBuild, also in Lowell, Massachusetts, I was able to provide extensive classroom training to public assistance customers and also to young adults in many different areas; to help enhance their skills in the work force field. I believe I have a good mental connection with children. Teaching Math is not just about solving problems, using specific methods, equations & formulas that the student has to memorize, and then will forget after a couple days. It's about understanding the problems, it's about knowing where the problem is, and how to solve it using basic Math knowledge and some axioms, step by step, even reinventing the answer, if possible. Teaching Spanish is a lot different, its more methodical, I use some mnemonic "tricks" for the kids & adults to remember the important words & translations.
My best skill is Math, I have always been proficient at it. As an Engineer, I have had the opportunity to learn more and take advantage of this skill, and I want to share it, I love teaching. I am also a member of MENSA. I have been tutoring children and adults since 1999, teaching Math, Physics & Spanish. ... read more

I am very passionate about helping others succeed. One of the best decisions that I have ever made was to pursue my childhood dream of being a teacher. I have primarily worked with at-risk populations (varying age groups) and believe in every single one of my students. I have a Master's degree in Education and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology. I have worked in a variety of settings including elementary schools, a middle school, church, a college, and most recently a language center working with foreign exchange students learning english. I love teaching, inspiring, mentoring and encouraging students of all ages!
I believe that every student can learn. When I work with adult students, I am amazed at the ones that don't really believe in themselves. Some adults have been discouraged by family members, life circumstances, or by their poor performance in school. Re ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I have 4 years of combined instructional experience from teaching at public high school and at a state university. I have taught across the spectrum; from learning disabled (ESE) to gifted (IB), as well as college students. A 60-hour ESOL class has been completed (as required by law), and I have worked extensively with ELL students. The following is a list of the disciplines in science for which I have experience teaching: Biology (regular and honors), Ecology, Physical, Earth & Space, Anatomy & Physiology (regular and honors), and Marine Science. I also have experience tutoring high school and university students one-on-one and in small groups.
I take a student-centered, hands-on approach to teaching. Individual learning styles must be addressed, and tutoring is an excellent way for a student to receive the type of instruction best suited for his/her learning style(s). Scien ... read more
