Need help with Biology? I can make learning fun!!

I have always used student-oriented teaching methods. For example I usually give the students real -life scenarios such as case studies to reinforce the concepts they learn. I also give the students worksheets and practice material. I have always received good feed back from students regarding my enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject.

15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have been tutoring for over 15 years both in students homes or at public locations such as coffee shops or the public library. My education and experience are broad. I was educated at "Ivy League" level schools and purposefully educated myself in a large variety of the humanities, which in essence all tie together. Basic courses up through most High School material outside of the Humanities are not difficult. Actually, while my education has been primarily in the Humanities, the material I see the most in tutoring is Algebra and Geometry!

As a SUNY Oneonta graduate, I sought to continue my goal of becoming an elementary school teacer. I became employed in Schenectady city school district, working in a magnet school for almost two years. As a first grade teacher, I became very experienced and well versed in balanced literacy frameworks. This passed year, all 22 of my students showed impressive gains in their reading/phonics skills assessment based on Fountas and Pinnell, that I was required to give three times a year.
