My experience is more hands-on and personal, I suppose. I love history and write constantly, in addition to having a great interest in photography and television. I majored in American Studies which focused on history and culture in the US, and minored in Creative Writing and Digital Arts. I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. When I was in high school, the highest math class I had ever taken was Calculus BC.
