Although my BS has a concentration in environmental science, I have taken elementary teaching classes during my undergrad at ESF. I have gained experienced in several subject areas during my career including: Math, Science, and Writing. I feel confident in my abilities and skills I have obtained from my course work at ESF and professional experienced after graduating.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe it is easier for a student to learn when the topic being studied is of interest to that student. Thus, it is important to relate each topic to those things that the student most easily relates to.
Though teaching is not my profession, I have taught as guest lecturer in college level investment classes, as well as tutored one-on-one basic English reading to those unable to for LVA in the 90s. You can preach all you want to children, but if you don't teach, there will be no learning. I believe that children will learn from someone they trust to talk to and from someone who they trust to give them the correct answers to their questions. I enjoy being that person. My teaching style.... depends on the day, depends on the students, depends on the topic. One minute I can be dancing around the room and the next we're having a more serious discussion. My expectations are very high and I always push my students to do "just a bit better" than they think they can at that moment. At the end of the day, a lot of "just a bit better"'s add up to a whole lot! I enjoy sharing knowledge with anyone who can benefit from my experience. I love mathematics, statistics and physics and I attempt to pass that enthusiasm to my students. I understand that there are many people who have trouble with math and science skills and becaus of that I try to explain technical concepts with easy to understand examples before submercing the student into computations that are difficult. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching one on one more then in a group class setting and I do enjoy teaching individual more then in a group setting. I do wish to teach "Chinese" as a personal language when I retire in the future if we don't have SS since I am a baby boomer (hope this is not true)
Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math.
