A Little Bit About Me...

I have both a bachelors degree and masters degree in business administration/management. Both of these degrees have given me a high level of knowledge in many areas such as finance, accounting, math in general, writing, and presentations/projects. I have always been an extremely sharp student excelling in most any course I have taken. I could tutor any of the k-12 age groups, and probably many college level students (depending on the course). I have been fortunate to teach students with Special Needs and Learning Challenges. In addition, I was able to teach Adult Basic education to inmates at a state prison. Due to the diversity of educational needs, I have been able to teach Math, Social Studies, History, Marine Biology, Horticulture, Biology, English, and Literature. During the past several years I have home-schooled my daughter and a several studentsby referral.
I enjoy seeing the "Light Bulb" come on when a student grasps a concept. I tend to defer to the students learning style and teach to their need and understanding. I received an AAS in 1984 at Alfred State College and was a nominee for Reatial Management Student of the Year. I worked full time and part time while obtaining my BA from Troy State University while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I have been on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc. for the past 4 years and volunteer my time with them.
