As I am still a student myself, I bring a slightly unique perspective to tutoring. I know and appreciate the importance of a compelling instructor, who is both enthusiastic and intelligent, but also patient and understanding. I love the sciences, but I have not been working in the field for so long as to not remember the frustration most students feel when first grasping the founding principles. I strongly believe that learning is best facilitated through problem solving rather than rote memorization, especially within the sciences. My goal in teaching is to help students understand how the scientific process affects them on a personal level. As a Substitute Teacher, Capital Area Intermediate Unit, I taught a variety of courses in mathematics and science in several school districts.
