Teaching others cannot be defined by one style of teaching. The way to teach is by learning first how the student receives the information. Auditory learners and Visual learners require two different methods of teaching. The key is to make the information understandable to the student by breaking the information down in any format. My teaching style is compatable with the child's learning style. If they need visual instruction then it is visual. My style is mostly facilitator or demonstrator when tutoring. this is because the child needs you to show them the process more so that demonstrate what they know. Most children know some, just not enough to comprehend the entire process. when this happens, then I become a facilitator.

At the moment, my experience is admittedly limited. I graduated with a History degree from UGA. I was a substitute teacher at Savannah Country Day School during the entire 2006-2007 school year. While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center.
I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences. However, I believe that by teaching intuitive thought processes and critical thinking skills, students can easily adapt to the tasks given be they in science or liberal arts.
