I have extensive experience in mentoring minors and persons with intellectual disabilites for 3 years. In highschool and college, I regularly tutored highschool and college students in algebra, highschool chemistry, and english. I am very patient and reassuring to students and wait for them to get the answer on their own when tutoring mathematics. I show them how to do it first, then let them try, and then re-explain. We would continue this repetitively with different problems until they can do it independently. It is also important to listen very carefully as to what they are saying.

After studying a variety of subjects in college and graduate school, I realized that most (if not all) of the world's problems could be alleviated through better education. I love getting students interested and involved in studying and exploring all that the world has to offer. I like to facilitate this by using examples that students can relate to and are are interested in. All children are different, but they all deserve enough individualized attention to help them meet their potential. Just one person can make a huge difference in a child's life and how they feel about education.
