Enthusiastic teacher seeks to work with a young mind

I've worked in the ESL (or related) field for a total of 8 years. I was a Foreign Language Expert in China for 3 years and am finishing my 4th year as a rater for the TOEFL exam. English Teacher with Excellent Experience!

I initially got my start as an English tutor for refugees in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area in 2002. I then moved to China where I worked as an English teacher in for eight years returning to the US in 2011. My experiences ranges from university freshmen English majors up through non-English major PhD students. I have also taught in a community English program in China in which my students ranged from age 12 through 52. While the majority of my experience is in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing classes, I have also taught such content courses as debate, newspapers, American history and economics. I would say my teaching style is more relaxed. I believe this helps one see students weaknesses and strengths better. It also allows one to compare the overall effect of teaching for each student. When I see a student falling behind then thats when I take action and try top get them where they should be in that area.
My experience is one that has taken me many different places to meet many diffrent people. I have always had a gift of helping others and conveying to them my knowledge. I obtained my BA in English Communication from Talladega College and also i have a minor in History. I have had a great deal of expereince in writng papers, essays, articles ,and reports. During my time in college, I also tutored Spanish speaking students in the usuage of the English language.
