In my classroom I implement discovery and inquiry as an approach to learning. Currently as a reading specialist I focus on individualization because at the secondary level each student has unique needs. In addition, I work to incorporate reading across the curriculum to help my students develop the skills needed to read and comprehend the textbooks in all the disciplines.
As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I began my teaching career in mathematics at the junior high school level. I taught Algebra I to eighth graders.
