A total learning experience

Since coming to the Charlotte region in 1996, I have had a wide variety of experiences as a language teacher, having taught in public, private, homeschool, summer school and tutoring situations. Although my primary focus is teaching French, I have also had the opportunity to equip students in Spanish I and II to continue with their language studies. Passionate about providing students with cross-cultural experiences, I have been the lead teacher on five different homestay trips to France with students from grades 5-11, as well as coordinated homestays for visiting French students with families in the Charlotte area. Turning your weakness into your strength

I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. I have tutored people ranging from my peers to people three times my age, to as young as third graders. My motto has evolved into "Helping those who feel they can not be helped"
I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. I tend to use the questions they are struggling with the most, making similar examples, then walking them through these problems and breaking down the problems until the student understands the how the process works.
