Hello! My name is Emma and I have taken 3 years of American Sign Language. My experience in the classroom involves only having deaf teachers, which I feel was the most helpful to my learning. I am well aware of deaf culture and can provide background knowledge and etiquette. I plan to continue taking ASL courses in the Fall.
I prefer to not speak while tutoring because all of my teachers have been deaf and an immersive experience is the most effective.

Sign Language is one of my top subjects! Entering Year 3 of sign and sign on a regular basis and love it.

I am currently in college, attending Chabot College. I was recently in a 4 year college down in Pomona, CA for a quarter, Cal Poly Pomona, and in a couple of years I will be transferring Cal Poly SLO. I passed my high school years with A's and B's and have also been passing my university/college classes with the same. In high school, I tutored kids for free and a lot of them were in grades above me. Near the end of high school I started teaching younger kids through care.com. I absolutely love tutoring and I think it's amazing to watch a child's mind grow right in front of you.

Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I am a native ASL user since I was born. I have taught ASL at several colleges and universities in East and West coast. I am teaching at school for the Deaf at the moment.

I started my teaching experience when I got a job as a subsitute teacher at school for the Deaf in Ontario, Canada. I loved it so much and I went to university to get my degree in Criminology and Sociology and got masters in Deaf Education and Recreation. I used to be a subsitute teacher at Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Washington, D.C. and got a job as a teacher at Maryland School for the Deaf.
