A Little Bit About Me...

I have no formal experience. I am employed by a church to provide child care during the service. The experience I have is with my own children and my extensive tour of the community college system. I passed each of the subjects that I have chosen at college level. It is my goal to continue to Master's level and teach college. I am attempting to gain experience in teaching.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with preschoolers and children K-8. Furthermore, I have tutored in Reading Comprehension, Math, Writing Skills, and Spanish. I have worked as an Office Manager, where I used Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Data Entry programs. Tutoring children in Reading Comprehension gave me great satisfaction because most of them made great improvements, and were able to raise their grades in this subject. I also taugh phonics, vocabulary and grammar to English Learners. Moreover, I teach children ages 10-13 bible classes. I volunteer at St. Joachim Church in Madera California. I also tutored students 7-8 Reading Comprehension, Writing Skills and Math (Basic Math, Algebra). I hold a Substitute Teaching Permit, and I was able to pass the CBEST exams, which consists of Reading Comprehension, Math, and Writing Skills.

My teaching style is very unique. I start off by just getting to know the student and having them get to know and trust me. I then build on that trust factor while helping the students with their homework. I connect well with students and they trust me. In the end, it seems to be the best way the students I work with learn and finish their work. Learning should be fun and not boring. It should be interactive and not just book work. If a student can experience learning first hand, they're bound to acquire enough knowledge to help them succeed.
