I have a strong desire to help children. Through teaching, I experience joy in displaying my knowledge and wisdom to them in helping them become better people in life. A Little Bit About Me...

As a mentor and tutor I have a very hands on style of teaching. I challenge my students with the Upward Bound Program to think outside the norms of their traditional boundaries. I encourage a diverse mind frame and point of view for various subject. Most of all I want my students to see their studies in everyday life and understand how each subject applies on a person level. My teaching style as well is always open and my doors and time is always devoted to those I teach so that their understanding of a subject is not limited to only the work load I present, but questions they present to me as a teacher.

My teaching style is to draw students out of their traditional comfort zones, while displaying respect for others points of view and values. Because education on all levels teaches higher levels of thinking it is very important to have great respect for others academic percepts while maintaining ones personal believe ( While with Upward Bound the students attended my classes attentively and I had to be moved to a bigger room to hold the sessions.
