I believe every student can succeed in their courses. Therefore, I follow a different approach to teaching the subject from multiple perspectives not just one standard way of learning.
I have had over 3 years of tutoring students in Algebra as well as science. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta where I graduated with honors from LSCS. I enjoy helping students to succeed in their courses. However, most teachers provide just one standard way of learning. I do not believe this is the way that students should be taught. In order to be a great teacher, every subject needs to be taught from multiple perspectives. I believe in my students and that they can succeed if they are given opportunity.

The most important thing about my teaching style is that I believe every child can achieve academic excellence and can be interested in learning. I believe that it is up to me, as a teacher or a tutor, to engage the student(s). A huge part of this is being very transparent about where the student starts, what our goals are for where they are going, and how they are doing along the way. I love working with students to figure out what gets them excited and how they learn best so I can incorporate these strategies into my teaching. I would describe myself as a very patient and understanding person. I always make sure that the student understand the concept and is comfortable with the explanations given to him/her before continuing with the problem. Being successful in tutoring, is realizing that the student is able to complete a problem on his/her own without my help.
I earned two bachelors degrees from LSU: one in Mathematics and one in Computer Sciences. But I would be more interested in tutoring FRENCH. I am a native FRENCH speaker and I've been in the country for over 20 years. I go back to France every summer to visit my family and would like to share my experience and teach the languague to students in the Spring, TX area. I've also been a tutor for the past 8 years at Tutor.com and tutor Elementary math, Middle school math and Algebra.
