For the first three years out of the university, I was a school librarian, and was board certified K-12 by the Washington State Board of Education as a result of this experience. From 2006-2008, I have been tutoring writing at Northern New Mexico College, from 4th grade remedial level through college papers in all subjects. I am presently working in an Upward Bound program for 9th graders, to help increase their study skills. I believe that students need to be challenged.
