Computer Science: More than 40 years of experience as a professional programmer and more than 40 years of experience as a computer science tutor. Have been a computer programming instructor at a college.
English: CELTA certificate holder for teaching English to non-English speakers. I am a native language English speaker. I have taught English in Italy.
Teaching Style
Computer Science: The style depends upon the students needs. I can explain concepts verbally and visually. I expect the student to put effort into their course, but I will help the student with difficult concepts, finding errors in their code, suggesting improvements to code, etc.
English: I believe in an interactive approach. Speaking is the best way to learn a language. However, I will also help the student understand the reasons behind the grammar, origin of words and why this is important to English spelling, with pronounciation, and with writing skills.
My Hobbies
I am a world traveler. I have visited half of the countries on Earth and every continent except Antarctica. I am a language hobbyist and speak several languages. I enjoy reading and writing.
