Experience Summary
I have taught adolescents and children with disabilities in the public and private sectors, for the past ten years, both locally and internationally across language and cultural barriers. I graduated with a Master's in Special Education Adapted Curriculum K-12, and hold a current Collegiate Professional License for the Commonwealth of Virginia. I have confidence that my experience teaching students of different ages and abilities, training and implementing functional education programs, and creating visual and hands-on lessons to enhance learning, will guide me in supporting you in your learning process.
Teaching Style
I believe in teaching and supporting skills that can be applied to your everyday life. Our growth is not measured only by our academic achievements but in our functional skills, communication, and ability to be part of a community. I will strive to give virtual instruction to individuals with disabilities that is tailored to their individual learning style, strengths, and educational needs through researched based strategies. It is a teacher's job to equip a student with the tools needed to learn and give them opportunities to apply them in different environments.
