Hello! My name is Payton and I am currently a student at Illinois State University. I am studying to get my bachelors in Special Education - Learning and Behavior Specialist. I am currently a junior and will be graduating in Spring of 2024. Once I graduate, I will be certified to teach k-12 grade Special Education. I currently have my Associate in Arts from College of DuPage as well. I have worked with children of all ages throughout my high school and college career. When studying at College of DuPage, I had many opportunities to observe and student teach within Middle School Special Education classrooms, specifically English. I loved it! When I'm home for the summer I am a head teacher at a daycare facility for an Elementary Summer STEAM camp. I am in charge of planning lessons and activities for my students. I am very comfortable working with students of all ages and those with disabilities. I would love to help a student excel in whatever subject they may need this year! I am a very positive person with an enthusiasm for teaching!
