Experience Summary
Public school teacher for 25+ years. I love my job & students. I believe in explicit direct instruction and I understand the length of time students can work at one sitting before needing a "brain break". I know numerous teaching strategies and how to implement them for the best learning experience for my students. I am looking for students ages5-Adult who struggle with spelling, writing and reading. After 25 years as a public school teacher I am now tutoring students who can't remember spelling words, sight words, high frequency words as well as those who are slow and inaccurate readers and whose penmanship is difficult to read.
