Experience Summary
Mr. Kovacs has about 10 years of experience to teach chess for K-8 students in Canada and in the States. His students won 3 London Chess Team Championships, and an individual 2nd place on the 1998 Canadian Youth Championship Under the age of 12. He established and ran 4 Wellesley, MA Elementary School Chess Clubs in the last 3 and a half years. Sprague Elementary K-3 and K-5 teams won 3 trophies for the school, including the best booster team and coach in 2017 and 2019 on the MA States Scholastic Team Championship. Sprague students successfully participated on the 2019 National Elementary K-6 Championship in Nashville, TN. Besides many wins, a 4th grader tied 3rd in a K-6 category.
