Experience Summary
I have traveled the world with my husband for the past 8 years before moving to the USA. I have vast experience of working with many types of children a lot of whom didn't have English as a first language. My training as a special needs teacher and my global experience has taught me to be very adaptive in my teaching style when working with SN kids. I have attended and passed many training courses both educationally, psychologically and medically. I keep myself up-to date with all the latest teaching methods.
Teaching Style
Whether working in a classroom or one-on-one at home I treat my pupil as a friend and confidant working with him/her to gain the pupils confidence and trust as the building block for their educational needs. I am an outgoing person and try to to make learning as fun as can be but with a strict approach to achieving goals. As well as educational needs I also work with the pupil on lifestyle needs, whether going shopping, tying shoelaces painting pictures all of this falls under SEN education.
My Hobbies
I play the guitar and sing and use this as much as I can with my pupils. I am a great reader and use this as my wind-down factor. I also love Salsa dancing and will try to bring music into the life of my pupil at any opportunity
