Experience Summary
I have student taught since my senior year in high school as a credit. I have tutored family members and coworkers. I am currently a third year student at Glendale Community College (GCC) and my major is Secondary Education in English. I student taught Senior English last semester and this experience has proved that this is the place that I want to be. I plan on going to ASU in the Fall of 2019 to continue my education.
Teaching Style
I want your child to be able to feel comfortable to ask questions. A lot of students are scared to look "less than" in front of their peers if they ask questions. English and Literature are subjects meant to be questioned and not just read. I believe that your child has every capability to learn and my job is to help them turn on the light bulb to help them see that reading and writing aren't as hard as they seem to be.
My Hobbies
I currently work at Sierra Winds Independent Retirement Home as a server. I consume my time working, going to school, and reading literature constantly. I am finding new and interesting ways how students are learning and how I should adjust my style of teaching.
