Experience Summary
I've taught business related courses at three different high schools in the Northern Colorado area for seven years that include: accounting (also taught at AIMS Community College) business economics, general economics, AP microeconomics, AP macroeconomics, computer business applications, video production, web design, principles of business, marketing, sports and entertainment marketing, word processing, business presentations, entrepreneurship, international business, finance, and college prep classes through AVID. In addition, I have over ten years of "real-world" experience as a financial advisor, banker, tax collector, retail manager, staffing manager and medical sales.
Teaching Style
I'm easygoing and adaptable to different learning styles. As a lifetime learner, I always believed in differentiated teaching was a must when dealing with students with so many varied backgrounds - so it all depends on the person/student in front of me.
My Hobbies
My current hobby is one I hope to turn into a career - an author. I recently finished my first fictional novel and am looking to publish. Additionally, I like the outdoors, sports, reading, good music and conversations with unique people.
