Experience Summary
I've been working as a tutor and a full time English Instructor for more than 8 years. I have Master's Degree in TESOL and several teaching certifications including University of Cambridge, the UK and Trinity College London, the UK. I have been teaching language and communication skills to students from various backgrounds and cultures, ages 6-60, levels - complete beginner to advanced. My students describe me as a fun, creative, supportive and patient teacher who has solid expertise, wide repertoire of engaging classroom activities.
Teaching Style
I adapt my teaching style according to my individual student's needs. I am a good coach and facilitator. I integrate my approach to teaching so it blends students’ needs and interests and my personality.
My Hobbies
My favorite outdoor hobbies are hiking and walking.
In my free time I enjoy reading and doing research into the biography or famous musicians of past centuries. I love reading about communication and methodology of ESL, fashion and yoga, psychology and coaching, interior design and architecture.
I like cooking, in particular creating fine-dining ambiance at home.
I cannot imagine my life without classical music and soft jazz and used to play acoustic guitar.

I focus on helping them develop skimming and scanning strategies, gist and detail-reading skills. We use a lot of interesting content in class which is relevant to students' interests. |

| I am a native Russian speaker with the experience of teaching Russian to speakers of other languages. Although Russian can be one of the most difficult languages to learn because of its grammatical structure and pronunciation, my students were successfully progressing from complete beginner level to confident intermediate within 12 months. Since I have learnt 3 foreign languages myself, I understand my students unique challenges as learners and am able to share my tips helping them enjoy learning a foreign language. |
