Experience Summary
I have been a full-time classroom teacher at all grade levels for the last 12 years. I also have several years as a substitute teacher. I specialize in differentiating instruction for all learners. In addition, I can teach reading and writing skills using authentic sources and classroom subject matter so that students don't fall behind on content-learning at the expense of practice with unrelated materials.
Teaching Style
I have a very engaging manner with students. I feel that learning is a joy, rather than a chore and I try to pass that attitude on to my students. I use frequent checks for understanding and reteaching when necessary. I also believe that a student's own insights and questions can guide learning to its highest levels.
My Hobbies
Fitness/outdoor recreation, dirt biking, reading.
