Experience Summary
Hello my name is Christa. I attained my Bachelors degree of Psychology, Substance abuse and Criminal Justice in 2009. I also obtained my Master Degree of Social Work in 2013. Currently I am working on my PhD to work as a Mental Health Practitioner with a specialty in Criminal Justice. I have worked in the field of Psychology, Criminal Justice and Social work for 5 years. I currently am working on my PhD to continue as a Mental Health Practioner and researcher. I have experience in substance abuse, criminal justice and mental health counseling in different setting. Previously I have worked with those with substance abuse in outpatient and inpatient settings. I also have experience working with those who have severe mental health problems (Schizophrenia, Bipolar 1, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder) in an outpatient jail diversion program. I also have experience working in a juvenile jail providing mental health therapy the highest at risk males ages 13-18 years of age with Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Depression. I enjoy assisting students gain knowledge in the fields of psychology and sociology through the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years.
Teaching Style
1 on 1 tutoring to allow the student to receive full attention. Teaching style will be adjusted to fit students needs.
