Experience Summary
I have grown up around kids my whole life. I am the oldest of four kids and my mom has a day-care in her home. I always thought I wanted to be a singer until I decided my junior year in high school I need to pick a more stable job. I took an internship my senior year of high school where I spent half the day at school and the other half as an intern in a Kindergarten class. I loved it and knew I wanted to teach for the rest of my life.
I went a private school in Indiana and graduated in 2015 with my degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. My student teaching was in a high ability first grade classroom and a K-3 special education classroom. This past year, I was a second grade teacher in Indiana and I am currently an RTI (response to intervention) Tutor at Herberich Primary School in Fairlawn, Ohio in the Copley-Fairlawn school district.
I love students and encouraging them to grow as learners and people! I am passionate about my work and come alive by seeing students improve.
My Hobbies
I love people, children, and music. I am a huge extrovert and would choose to be with people all the time if I could. I love children! I have spent most of my life around them and usually split my weekends between social activities and babysitting. I also love to sing and dance. I have been in over 15 musicals!
