I have been a private tutor, K-12 for over 15 years in the metro Kansas City area, including private, public and parochial schools in both KS and MO. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring children with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. I am one of the select few in the Kansas City area who is certified in the Orton-Gillingham method – a systematic approach to teaching validated by over 70 years of time-tested practice and methodology. Former teacher at Horizon Academy in Roeland Park, KS, a private school for kids with learning disabilities. Teaching Style
With lots of energy, heart and enthusiasm, each session provides the student with multi-sensory instruction that is specialized to your child's needs. I work with children K-12.
My Hobbies
In my free time I like to play in my garden, tend my salt water aquarium, and travel to visit my 3 kids and 2 grandsons. I am writing a work of youth fiction about living and dealing with dyslexia.
