Experience Summary
My name is John. I am a certified Special Education Teacher in Massachusetts and have been working in the field for the past 3 years. I have experience working with students with all types of disabilities at the elementary and middle school level. Most of the student's I have taught have had disabilities that effected their reading, writing, and math abilities. Over the past few years I have learned to use a multi-sensory approach to teaching. I feel that every child is capable of learning if the teacher sets realistic goals and uses an approach that makes the material meaningful to the student. I am very patient, enjoy working with kids , and love to see my students make growth.
Teaching Style
I try to first build a strong relationship with my students. After I get to know the student I try to gauge my instruction toward their interests and make learning fun for them. In addition, I am very patient and will seek to adjust my instruction toward the student's unique strengths.
