Experience Summary
Teaching experience: Calculus Honors, Adv Math(College Algebra), Trig and Algebra 2 classes
Tutoring experience: Trig, Calc honor, Algebra 2 honors, ACT math, Adv Math 1 and 2, Praxis math
I also work as an online scorer for Pearson. My last project was grading national geometry test questions for the PARCC test. That experience gave me a great insight into the Common Core Curriculum which I have been studying and applying in detail.
Teaching Style
As a math tutor,my main goal is to help students regain their confidence in their abilities to be successful in their math class or in achieving the desired test scores. I have been successful in the past in doing so by first identifying my students'individual weaknesses and strengths. Then I meet their needs by helping them clarify their math specific questions, and practicing the content until they master it! I constantly monitor my students' progress by keeping in touch with their parents and if necessary with their teachers.
