Experience Summary
I am a teacher at a YMCA and I teach k through 8th grade. I help them with homework. I love teaching them. They are very energetic, I help them with reading, spelling and grammar. I was a teacher at a boys and girl clubs as well and I was in charge of different ages such as 2nd grade, 3rd and 5th. I enjoyed teaching them. I would help them with homework as a group for example I would put children who had the same homework to sit together and help each other with homework before raising their hand as a group and ask for help. I love to challenge children to go beyond their thinking skills. I love to teach a child to be independent and believe in themselves.
Teaching Style
I am very great when it comes to teaching. I show the way the child learns. If the child learns by playing a sport I show them while using sports as examples. One example is when it comes to basketball and math I draw a court for them and have them draw teams and once that is done. I have the child plan a way to make the basket. Once he or she does I have them let me know what was your plan? Once they do I let them know you can use a triangle formation , cubic formation or adding numbers in order to make the basket. The triangle you can use it making one on the side putting numbers and trying to figure it out if the corner you chose will help you win the game.
My Hobbies
I love to dance, teach, workout, and love seeing people be successful in life. I have a cat that I love to take out on walks. I enjoy reading, walking, speding time with my family.
