Experience Summary
I've been an informal tutor for as long as I can remember. I've tutored my peers and my juniors in English grammar, spelling, vocabulary, writing, composition, essay, formal reports, reading comprehension, and anything else involved in English. I also have formally studied Japanese and tutored in that.
Formally, I have worked as an ESL teacher for The Salvation Army. I've been both a classroom teacher and a one-on-one teacher with my students.
Teaching Style
It's all about you, the students. We all learn differently, so I like to tailor my style to the person I'm teaching. Let me know what you want to learn, and I'll work with you to get the best result.
The only requirement I have is that I want you to care. If you come to me, you have to work. I'm not a ogre, but I won't let you come to me and not try to learn.
My Hobbies
I'm a movie enthusiast. I like to see a movie in theaters at least once every two weeks.
I'm very interested in Japanese culture, history, and language. I studied it in college out of desire, not need.
I love cooking. My specialty is various pastas, but I love to try new recipes.
My primary form of exercising is walking. I like to see new things, so I like to wander as a form of exercise. My furthest distance traveled is 12mi.
