Experience Summary
I am a classroom teacher at a private school for students with language-based learning disabilities. I work with students in a small group setting and provide them the interventions and support that they need in order to learn to the best of their ability. Differentiation is essential in my job, and I believe every student learns in their own unique way. I am currently trained in Orton Gillingham (a decoding/encoding program which is highly successful for students with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia) at the Classroom Educator level and am in the process of training for the Associate level. I am also trained in Lindamood-Bell's Visualizing & Verbalizing program.
Teaching Style
I am a patient, caring teacher who enjoys making individualized lessons for students in order to help them reach their maximum learning potential. It is my goal to make students feel confident in themselves and their learning.
