Experience Summary

I have been a graphic designer for over 30 years. When I began in graphic design, it was with a desire to work at a major motion picture studio, doing graphic design in their CREATIVE ARTS department. I spent many years working for small agencies and continuing to grow my experience. I finally landed at a small agency who happened to have THE WALT DISNEY STUDIOS as it's biggest client. This was great. I got to work on several campaigns where we were to create the VHS packaging for DISNEY films including MARY POPPINS and HERCULES. We also created full page magazine ads for the picture THE LITTLE MERMAID: ARIEL'S BEGINNING. I later did freelance work for DISNEY working on TARZAN. Soon after I had applied at WARNER BROS. HOME VIDEO CREATIVE SERVICES DEPT. I went through a couple of rounds of interviews but finally landed my dream job. So there I was, working in the very place I had sought to work at from the beginning, a large motion picture studio. Later, I also did work for Universal and FOX. I love what I do, and although you may not desire to work where I did, if you have the desire and passion, you can work where ever you want.

I'm will be teaching you GRAPHIC DESIGN. You will be learning how to use InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator design programs. You will learn how to create business cards, flyers, brochures, posters, display graphics, newsletters, invitations and how to lay out a magazine and multi-fold inserts, among other new abilities. You will also learn photo retouching, color correction and using the many "effects" in Photoshop to create outstanding artwork. You will also learn logo design and development using Illustrator.
