Experience Summary
I am a former Geology student at SUNY Cortland who graduated May 2015. Throughout my career I have proven my strengths in knowing, understanding, communicating, and sharing Geology/Earth Science. In high school I took basic Earth Science earning a 100 as a grade in the class and also received a 100 grade for the NYS Regents Exam. I continued this in college graduating Magna Cum Laude with multiple appearances on the president's/dean's lists and earned several awards for success in Geology. I also was vice president of Geology Club for 2 years. Most importantly, I was a teaching assistant for the Earth Science portion of the integrated Earth Science/Biology course at SUNY Cortland for 2 semesters. In this I helped teach a wide range of students (in geology knowledge and interest) learn basic earth science principles and processes. This experience I believe truly makes me someone who can help any kind of student, from one struggling with geology or even the student who loves it and just wants to be that much more successful.
Teaching Style
I am very open to helping any Geology/Earth Science student no matter what the situation. I am confident in my ability to help a student from basic Earth Science up to more in depth, advanced, college level geology courses.
