Experience Summary
Over 20 years experience in varied accounting disciplines. Knowledgeable of all stages of the accounting process from non-profit to corporate accounting. Served as Revenue Auditor and Assistant Controller for two major hotel chains. I can tutor a student in all areas of accounting from A/P to A/R, to journal entries, to P&L statements, including trial balances and month-end closing and adjusting entries. I can also go over subjects from the most basic accounting principles to the more complex.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is open and questioning. I expect you to question the things that I teach you, for that is how I believe you will learn the best and grasp the concept more quickly. I teach not purely "by the book" but in also using real-life examples and situations. Most students have the most problems with just getting through the basics. The dreaded Accounting I and Accounting II classes. It's the basic concepts that I will focus on at first.
