Experience Summary
As a childhood cancer survivor, I have been blessed to mentor hundreds of kids and young adults facing the same. These relationships are where my initial draw to private tutoring came along. No matter what we are facing or how we learn, we all need to keep growing in our education! In the 17 years since I started, I have tutored thousands of hours. I am also the co-founder of a non-profit which benefits families with childhood cancer, a professional speaker, and an MBA Program Coordinator for the University of Minnesota.
Teaching Style
I like students to know that I am their partner in learning. I love to get to know them before we even start working on things to find out what has worked for them in the past, what they dislike, and what they love. That being said, my teaching style adapts to the student. Some students may need things in a very straight and organized fashion, while some need more interactive teaching and creative thinking. I will do whatever needs to be done to create the best experience for the student!
My Hobbies
I am an active member of my church, an amputee, an athlete, and avid blog post writer. I speak professionally and consult on team building and company growth. I enjoy bonfires and singing, my family, and meeting people around the world.
