Experience Summary
I’m a Washington State Certified educator with over ten years of experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages. I’ve taught in both alternative and traditional schools, and have tutored a wide range of learners—from homeless youth to gifted students at top performing schools. I earned my B.A. in English Literature and Washington State Teaching Certificate for Secondary Education from Seattle Pacific University in 2009. Currently I'm pursuing a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, providing a framework to unite behavioral psychology with individualized education for optimal learning. I believe in integrated, holistic education, and I’m particularly passionate about supporting students with learning or behavioral difficulties.
Teaching Style
My teaching philosophy centers on individualized instruction. Rather than assuming a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor sessions to meet your student’s learning style and needs. I respond to learning challenges with flexibility, creativity, and positivity. To achieve best results, I engage your student in the learning process, break complex concepts into simpler parts, and target instruction to build specific skills.

I enjoy being outdoors, reading, and cooking.
