Experience Summary
I have used Microsoft Access since 1997 in my various analyst jobs. Additionally I hold an engineering degree. Currently I am developing software tools for departments in my company to consolidate and streamline processes. I can teach basic database structure in Access all the way to developing forms and reports for users to input and extract data efficiently while managing data integrity for more robust information.
I have used spreadsheets before Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Excel since 1984. At that time I used spreadsheets to manage my company’s coffee club while a co- op. I currently use excel constantly in my work and can teach either shortcut keys or mouse clicks for navigation as well a knowing how to use a wealth of functions that can save hours of time. My teaching style is patient and allowing student discovery while encouraging questions. Lastly, I can teach how to design and prepare excel spreadsheets for import into Access, taking your learning to the next level in using Excel and Access together and when to use which for best results.

Overall I have had analyst experience in telecommunications, healthcare, and government benefit administration. I have used numerous Microsoft products as well as additional products, ie business objects, all in using tools to collect data efficiently and analyzing it into information to make better business decisions.
Teaching Style
Patient while asking questions to confirm understanding. I teach complex things so I do not mind repeating the lesson several times to ensure the student learns with understanding. I have taught coworkers on numerous occasions and really enjoy the experience of sharing my knowledge. I always find I learn something too!
