Experience Summary
I started out teaching 6th grade social studies, and then became a college professor.
As an associate college professor at a college in Brookline, Mass I taught ESL to students from over thirty four countries, cross cultural communication and became Chair of the Education program; training teachers.
I thoroughly relished my teaching years and then was asked to become Assistant to the President.
As an administrator I gained the broad perspective needed to run an institution seeing both the big picture and tiny details These skills are necessary when putting cases together for litigation or settlement.
As the College was scaled back I decided to leave teaching and entered law school.
There I enrolled in a clinical prosecutor program with on hand experience in the Courts.
I thrived on the cases and after graduating became a Bar Advocate in the criminal district courts where I was asked to take a case later known as the Framingham Eight.
I represented one women convicted of murder for Defending her Life against her batter and given a life sentence.
The then MassachusettsGovernor changed the Commutation laws in the state and I represented the woman successfully in the Communtation process.
An Oscar winning documentaryt film was made about the women Defending Our Lives.
I am a skilled teacher and klnow my law.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is relaxed and based on the strengths of the student.
It is modeled after the experiential process developed by Sylvia Ashton Warner author of "Teacher."
It can be used with any age and any content.
Learning should be challenging and enjoyable.
My Hobbies
Yoga, walking, knitting, reading, theatre and part time film actor.
