Experience Summary
I specialize in Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). In my opinion Excel is one of the most under used tools in the work place. I have multiple years of experience in a manufacturing setting applying Excel to perform a wide range of data collection and analyzation tasks as well as building dashboards. I have used such Excel tools as charts and graphs, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and recorded macros to accomplish these tasks.
Once students are comfortable with these Excel tools and applying them, let's employ VBA to take Excel workbooks to the next level. Using VBA to write more complex macros, procedures, and create userforms can streamline data entry, calculations, and data output. Using VBA makes redundant data entry virtually a thing of the past.
Teaching Style
For me there is a certain feeling of accomplishment and sense of pride that comes from learning something new and being able to apply what I've learned. My love of teaching comes from my desire to help others have those same feelings. I enjoy seeing the smile of satisfaction as people realize that they have learned something new. My teaching style is simple, hands on repetition. I like to explain a concept, give and example, and then help you work through more examples all with a positive attitude.
