Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate from University of Utah with a degree in Asian Studies, Chinese Language, and International Relations. I was born and raised in Okinawa Japan and went to a local Japanese school. My first language is Japanese and English and I am able to teach any level (beginner to advanced), including Kanji. I also work at the Utah Japanese Language School teaching 4-5 year old kid. My total teaching experience is a little over 5 years. I love watching my students improving and becoming more familiar with Japanese language as well as Japanese culture!
Teaching Style
I'm very energetic and easygoing, but also can be serious depending on the learning style of the student.
I am also very organized and love creating teaching materials that suite each student. Keeping is nice and simple is my motto and this method has worked out great. Depending on the age I also create game style learning materials and little kids love them.
My Hobbies
I love learning languages, meeting people from all over the world, cooking and hiking in the mountains.
